Shall I go Green on my Next Construction Project?

As a design professional i am often told at first by our clients that they want their projects to be GREEN.

Their opinions quickly change until we start talking about costs of Green Construction and the time line of my clients return(s) on the investment (ROI).

In my opinion the green construction movement is an excellent one, but it still is in its early stages regardless of what others say

In our current technology climate, if  a clients return on a GREEN investment is more than 36 months it is not worth it. Technology is changing daily at lighting speed.

Hear is some food for thought......
Think about your cell phone in you pocket or next to you, would you still want to be paying for it in 3 years? Think of all the different model phones have come out since you last upgraded / purchased your new phone Average cell phone users change their phone every 24 months.

Do you want to be paying for the solar panels you just purchased 15 years from now?
